Some state laws define consumer health data broadly. Profile details, relationship intentions, identity checks, safety reports, or inferences may fall within those definitions even though One Match is not a health-care provider.
This draft is designed around Washington’s My Health My Data Act and needs review for Nevada and any other applicable state law.
Possible consumer health-data categories
- Age derived from identity verification.
- Profile answers that reveal sexual orientation, gender identity, relationship intent, or health-related preferences.
- Safety reports that describe physical or mental harm, sexual conduct, or a request for help.
- Inferences drawn to operate preferences, eligibility, safety, or moderation.
One Match does not plan to collect precise location or health-care records.
Planned purposes
One Match would collect these fields only to create the profile the member requested, apply their preferences, confirm adult eligibility, operate safety and moderation, comply with law, and provide support.
They would not be used for targeted advertising, sale, or a desirability score.
Rights and consent
If the law applies, rights may include confirmation, access, withdrawal of consent, deletion, and appeal. A sale would require separate written authorization; the One Match product plan prohibits sale.
