Eligibility

A member must be at least 18, legally able to agree to the terms, located in a supported market, and not barred from using the service.

The planned first markets are the United States and Canada. Quebec remains closed until legal approval of identity verification.

Decision needed

Add the contracting company, address, regional entities, governing age rules, and full eligibility exclusions.

One account per person

Members must provide accurate information, protect access to their phone, complete identity verification, and use only their own account. A phone number is not the permanent identity key.

Government document capture and selfie matching are performed by Stripe Identity. One Match plans not to store those images or biometric templates.

How the service works

  • Only one active match is allowed.
  • A mutual match removes both members from the pool.
  • At 72 hours, a 24-hour private decision window opens.
  • Only two active keeps create a kept match. Silence means discard.
  • Unmatch stays available at every stage.
  • A kept match is open-ended and does not require an active subscription.

One Match does not promise a match, a date, compatibility, safety, or a relationship.

Member conduct and content

Members must follow the Community Rules. They keep ownership of their content but grant One Match the limited rights needed to store, moderate, display, and deliver it through the service.

Members may report, block, or unmatch. One Match may remove content, limit access, suspend an account, or ban an identity to enforce rules or protect people.

Relationship records

Only ending a kept match creates one record obligation for each member. The fixed-choice form has no public score and no free text in the first release. Published records are planned for the subject’s current match only.

Decision needed

Set the final subject-access, author-display, contest, permanence, deletion, and appeal terms before launch.

Membership, renewal, cancellation, and refunds

The planned price is $20 per month, one tier, after the first free match. The purchase screen must show price, renewal, term, and cancellation before payment consent.

Cancellation must remain available without obstruction. For direct Stripe charges, the planned policy is a full refund within 24 hours. Apple or Google controls store-purchase refunds.

Decision needed

Approve the US and Canadian iOS billing paths, merchant entity, taxes, trial language, store terms, renewal notice, payment failure, dispute, and refund clauses.

Ending an account or the service

A member can sign out, cancel a subscription, or request account deletion. One Match may suspend or end access for a rule breach, risk, fraud, or legal need and will provide an appeal route when appropriate.

Cancellation does not erase an outstanding record obligation. It waits until the person tries to return to the pool.
